Privacy policy pages are important.
They are also our least favorite page to put together.
There are a lot of legal bases to cover, so this page has much more difficult language to understand.
The condensed version is first, and the full version is below.
Accurate information is important.
We are an education platform, and the vast majority of the pages and content on this site are information for you to use and consume as you’d like.
We spend a lot of time researching and doing our best to make the content on this site relevant and up to date with any changes that come to these topics. We are, however, humans. We have typos. We make mistakes. When we find errors, we fix them. If you find errors, we’d love to hear about them so we can fix them.
We produce a lot of content – videos, articles, spreadsheets, ebooks, and more. You may come across an outdated version from previous years. Check with us, and we likely have an update.
Your data is personal.
The last thing we want is to be a nuisance.
We believe that a major problem in the retirement world is the incessant pestering and aggressive marketing campaigns that are launched at people like you.
We want to be a solution to that problem. Not the cause.
You control the messages between us. If you want to talk, you let us know. We do have forms for you to fill out to let us know you want to talk, or, we have forms for you to get resources available on the site.
When you fill out a form, this does NOT mean that we feel we have the right to send you messages you didn’t want. It’s the exact opposite. We will send you a message about the form you filled out, and that’s it. If you want to explore further, you let us know.
We don’t sell your information to third parties.
Online Information
We use technology to make this site and its content run. This means we use software services to track our website’s performance and catch any issues. We try to understand where in the world our visitors are so we can make relevant content and connect them with professionals licensed in your area. We try to understand what websites sent you to us, meaning analytics systems built within the site help us see where visitors came from.
Things called “cookies” exist so that if you filled out a form for one of our products, come back another day to get it again, you don’t have to keep filling out the same form.
The point we hope to convey is that you are in charge of your data.
We genuinely want to offer you the most, high quality information about retirement as possible AND respect your privacy.
We feel both are possible.
Okay… here’s the legal-speak our attorney’s require.
